Metal or Polymer (Plastic) Trigger Housing?
We manufacture Hammer Shims to fit both the Metal and New Polymer or "Plastic" Trigger Housings.
Rugers change to the New Polymer Trigger Housing ment a change to the Hammer Too.
Many Plastic Trigger Housings have a Hammer with Bushings Built-in, (Integral Bushings)
To further confuse things, it seems Ruger has changed back to the Original Hammer with separate bushings.
The only Difference is the Hammer construction, the Original Metal Trigger Housings have a Hammer with 2 Hammer Bushings, (B-43) while some of the New Polymer Housings have Bushings built-in to the Hammer, and some have the original design.
When installing shims, the Hammer Shims for Metal Housing Trigger Assemblies goes between the Hammer and the B-43 Hammer Bushing.
On the Plastic Housing set with Hammers that have Integral Bushings, the Shim has to go outside the Bushing on the B-19 Pin.
On the Plastic Housing set with Hammers that have Separate Bushings, the Shim goes between the Hammer and the B-43 Hammer Bushing.
Our Plastic Housing Shim Kit is really a Universal Set in that it can be used on Any Style Trigger Assembly because the Shim Washer goes Outside the Bushing.

Brass or Stainless?
Brass makes a good bearing material, but it can discolor
and especially turn green when subjected to some of the solvents we all use,
like good old Hoppe's No. 9 and other cleaners.
Since there is no real pressure on the shim as it is acting as a spacer,
I prefer Stainless Steel as it is not affected by any cleaners or lubricants.
Brass is priced slightly higher because it is harder to stamp.
